Tripundra is a Saivite's great mark, three stripes of white vibhuti on the brow. This holy ash signifies purity and the burning away of anava, karma and maya. The bindu, or dot, at the third eye quickens spiritual insight. Aum.

Astrologer-Who is Astrologer?

Astrologer is the person who predicts the future by the positions of the planet, sun and moon. A practitioner of astrology is called an astrologer, or, less often, an astrologist. Historically, the term mathematics was used to denote a person proficient in astrology, astronomy, and mathematics. An astrologer practices one or more forms of astrology. In the past, when the separation between astronomy and astrology was not as pronounced as it is today, they were "observers of the stars". Astrologers are also sometimes known as astrologists. Historically the term mathematicus was used to denote a person proficient in astrology, astronomy, and mathematics.

An astrologer is a practitioner of astrology. The terms Astrology and Astronomy have long been closely related. An Astrologer is an interpreter of celestial phenomena, while an Astronomer is a predictor of celestial phenomena. Astrology itself can be divided into two camps, comprised of "natural astrologers" (i.e. astronomers) who study the motions of the heavenly bodies, timing of eclipses, etc. "Judicial astrologers" study the supposed correlations between the positions of various celestial objects and the affairs of human beings. Astrologers use astronomical observations of the movements of the night sky for divinatory purposes. Divination is the attempt of ascertaining information by interpretation of omens or an alleged supernatural agency. Astrology is widely used as an indicator of compatibility with family, friends, bosses, or lovers, whoever you'd like to know more about. Individual natal horoscopes are compared to see how the two charts interconnect to affect the relationship. Astrologers believe planets influence a person more than any other heavenly body. The sun and moon are considered planets in Astrology.

In India, people consult an astrologer to ascertain auspicious time for all special occasions like marriage. The crop will be abundant if the seeds are sown at the appropriate time and results wil not be favourable if the time chosen is not auspicious,. This principle can be extended to all other activities and hence the importance of MUHURTHAM or auspicious moment or period. Astrologers play a vital role here and they can predict the course of married life. If impediments are noticed remedial measures are suggested. Astrology is the study of how events on earth correspond to the positions and movements of stronomical bodies, particularly the sun, moon, planets, and stars. Astrologers believe that the position of astronomical bodies at the exact moment of a person's birth and the subsequent movements of the bodies reflect that person's character and, therefore, destiny. For many years, scientists have rejected the principles of astrology. However, millions of people continue to believe in or practice it.

Astrologers create charts called horoscopeshich map the position of astronomical bodies at certain times, such as when a person is born. A horoscope is illustrated by a circle, called the The ecliptic is the plane on which the earth orbits around the sun in a year. It is divided into twelve sections, called the signs of the Zodiac, which include Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces. Astrologers assign every planet (which in astrology includes the sun and moon) with a particular sign, depending on where that planet appears on the ecliptic at the time for which the horoscope is cast. Each planet represents basic human drives, and each sign represents a set of human characteristics. When astrologers designate a person as a certain sign—a Leo or a Pisces, for example—they are referring to the person's sun sign— that is, the sign that the sun occupied at the time of the person's birth.

The horoscope also is divided into twelve houses, which make up the 24-hour period during which the earth rotates once on its axis. Each house deals with certain areas of a person's life, such as marriage, health, work, travel and death. Astrologers make predictions by interpreting the position of astronomical bodies within the signs and houses of the horoscope.
